The laboratory is committed to achieving breakthroughs in the field of minimally invasive interventional medicine, focusing on the development of implantable medical devices such as fully bioabsorbable stents, occluders, sutures, and drug delivery systems. The laboratory pays attention to the structural design and raw material research of degradable interventional medical devices, carries out foundational research and core technology development, conducting research on common and key technologies for implantable devices, as well as subsequent engineering and industrialization development studies. Additionally, the laboratory integrates and collaboratively develops various technologies according to specific needs and provides the industry with an environment and services for technology development and the engineering and validation of results. The research group has undertaken dozens of scientific research projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Key Research and Development Program of China, General Program, Youth Project Fund and Key Natural Science Foundation Projects of Jiangsu Province. We have published over 50 SCI articles in domestic and international journals, authorized more than 20 national invention patents, trained more than 20 master, doctor and postdoctoral students. Many students have been dispatched to participate in international academic exchanges and recommended to join national research institutions and leading domestic medical device companies.
